12. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell personal information.

13. SMS and Text Messaging

This section applies to text messages sent through BladeBook, our barbershop booking app. 1865 Free Money LLC is the sole sender of these messages. We send them from our own phone number, about appointments you arranged in BladeBook. We do not send on behalf of any other company and we do not resell messaging capability.

13.1 How we collect your mobile number and consent

You provide your mobile number by typing it into BladeBook when you book an appointment, join a barbershop's walk-in waitlist, or check in on the web kiosk. Directly beneath that phone field we display: “By entering your number you agree to receive text messages from BladeBook about this visit: appointment updates and walk-in waitlist status from your barber. Msg frequency varies (about 1-6 per visit). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. See Terms and Privacy Policy.” A separate checkbox, unchecked by default, covers the one promotional message we send (re-booking reminders); leaving it unchecked does not affect your booking. This messaging consent is a separate disclosure — accepting our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy is not how you consent to messaging. We never buy, rent, or import phone number lists.

13.2 What we send and how often

Transactional messages: a notice that your barber is running late for the appointment you booked, your position and estimated wait in a shop's walk-in queue, and a heads-up when your chair is ready. Promotional messages: a periodic re-booking reminder, sent only if you enrolled with your barber in a recurring haircut schedule.

Message frequency varies based on how often you book — approximately 1 to 6 messages per appointment cycle. BladeBook does not charge for text messages; message and data rates may apply from your carrier. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

13.3 How to stop or get help

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe that number immediately. Reply HELP for support information, or email oouchie@1865freemoney.com. Opting out of texts does not delete your account or cancel booked appointments.

13.4 We do not share your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, and are never sold. Mobile numbers are disclosed only to the messaging service provider that delivers the message on our behalf (Twilio), solely to transmit it, and to the barbershop you booked with so they can identify and contact you about your own appointment.
